Ewbank’s held a major auction with over 400 lots, achieving an 87.7% sell-through rate and a total of £205,715. The headline result was the Conan the Destroyer Atlantean sword, a screen-used prop associated with Arnold Schwarzenegger, which sold for £11,700, within estimate. Other notable sales included a Harry Potter Philosopher’s Stone prop at £14,300, a Captain America WWII helmet at £8,320, and a Star Wars: The Phantom Menace stunt lightsaber at £3,120. Several Harry Potter wands and props, Star Wars weapons, and a Mandalorian helmet also found buyers. Some high-profile items, such as the Alien Resurrection Xenomorph head and Doctor Strange Eye of Agamotto, did not meet reserve.
Goldin offered a focused selection of seven lots, all of which sold. The top result was a Back to the Future 40th Anniversary Gibson ES-345 guitar at $18,300. Harry Potter hero wands from Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and Ron Weasley’s wand from Prisoner of Azkaban each achieved strong prices, with the hero wand selling for $8,546.1. A Robert Downey Jr. signed Iron Man Mark III bust reached $13,426.1, and a Back to the Future II hoverboard and Nike MAG sneakers set sold for $4,880.
Icons of Pop Culture sold 47 out of 50 lots, totaling $9,526. Notable results included Napoleon’s Russian campaign coat at $1,212, Walter White’s Breaking Bad jacket at $1,198, and Bad Boys: Ride or Die leather jacket at $819. Several Starship Troopers costume pieces and Better Call Saul wardrobe items also sold.
VIP Fan Auctions offered over 180 lots from Power Book IV: Force, with 104 sold. The top result was a Vic Flynn Yves Saint Laurent jacket set at $675, followed by a Claudia Raey jacket and boots at $535. Most lots were screen-worn costumes and props from the series.
On eBay, the highest sales included a Ghostbusters Belt Gizmo at $660, a Friday the 13th Part 7 Jason bust at $600, and Apollo spacesuit gloves at $575. A screen-used Kurt Russell costume from Escape from LA sold for $802.52.
Catawiki saw a Back to the Future II hoverboard signed by Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd sell for €1,100, and a Frankenstein Boris Karloff bust for €1,093. Other notable sales included a Nosferatu life-size bust at €829 and a Back to the Future II hoverboard replica at €701.
Other auction houses and marketplaces reported minor results, with a range of memorabilia and collectibles changing hands at lower price points.
eBay added a variety of new listings, including a Sideshow Collectibles King Kong 1933 stop-motion armature, a Sons of Anarchy screen-used Teller Morrow letter, and a Walking Dead prop wall art print. Other highlights are a Slappy the dummy prop, a Hellboy Sideshow Samaritan prop replica, a Walking Dead Morgan cup, a MTV 1992 animated commercial layout, and a Dukes of Hazzard cast-issued belt buckle. A What We Do in the Shadows screen-used keychain is also available.
Catawiki features a Stargate lot of 13 original production drawings, a James Bond Dr. No Sean Connery memorabilia, and a Back to the Future signed by four main cast members. Other notable listings include a Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies Weta Workshop piece, a James Bond Goldfinger memorabilia, a James Bond Goldfinger Aston Martin DB5, and a Back to the Future signed photo. A James Bond Octopussy Imperial Coronation Egg and a Back to the Future II hoverboard replica are also on offer.
Propstore (Buy Now) added a Firefly Zoe Washburne production-made Winchester and holster and a Superman Christmas card to its fixed-price offerings.
The Prop Gallery listed a production-used clapperboard, an Ian Scoones hand-drawn concept artwork from Ripping Yarns, and a John Wood storyboard from Doctor Who: The Space Pirates. A Cyberman helmet from Doctor Who: The Moonbase is also offered, though reserve has not been met.
Propabilia added a GOON: Last of the Enforcers Hyrum Cain’s ring to its listings.
Other dealers and marketplaces reported a handful of minor additions, mostly under $1,000, with no major screen-used props newly listed this week.
